Fundraising can be a fun experience

We’ve got advice, support and fundraising materials.  We would love to help you have a fantastic fundraising day and to get a real buzz from the experience. Knowing it’s for such a worthwhile cause will help you through.

If you don’t know what sort of event to choose, please get in touch. We’ll give you lots of ideas to suit your  needs.

You could sign up for an existing challenge event or you may decide to set your own challenge.

The simplest way to fundraise is to set up an online fundraising page. It means that you can easily share your sponsorship page with friends, family.

Virgin Money Giving is Joss Searchlight’s preferred online giving site because it’s easy to set up and unlike other giving sites they don’t charge very much commission.virgin money logo
When you donate or sponsor somebody via Virgin Money Giving they process your payment and claim the ‘Gift aid’ if applicable and then send Joss Searchlight the total every week. gift-aid-largeGift Aid adds adds 25% to every donation if you’re a UK taxpayer, meaning that your fundraising goes even further in helping to support children and with cancer and their families.

Set up a Virgin Money Giving fundraising page:

  1. Choose which option best suits you. Options are personal challenge, organised event or raising money in support of or in memory of someone special.
  2. Create your page mentioning why you’ve chosen to do it for Joss Searchlight. It helps to set yourself a fundraising target and to ask all UK tax payers to Gift Aid their sponsorship.
  3. Share and promote your page via emails and via social media so that everyone you know can visit your page and donate.
